NYX and ULTA Lippie Photos

I tried my new lippies (see the haul I posted about yesterday) on last night and here are the results:

NYX Jumbo Lip Pencil in Pink Nude - I tried this alone and over a lip pencil (Terra Mauve from Aromaleigh). I preferred the look of it over the pencil. Alone, I felt it was much too light for my complexion.

ULTA Extreme Wear Lip Color
NYX Goddess of the Night Lip Gloss with Mega Shine

I decided that Sweet Heart and Frosted Beige are much too light for me and and I will be returning them to the ULTA store. I could use them as lipstick toppers but I already have some light-colored glosses that I use for that very reason. No sense keeping something that won't get any use no matter how great the bargain, right? I'm still undecided about Iced Latte. It's a warmer color than I'm used to so I'm going to see if it grows on me. French Kiss and Natural are keepers, with French Kiss being my favorite.

  1. I love Pink Nude :)
I'm so glad you picked it up!
I do like it over the lip pencil on you.

  2. It's such a "different" color. From one angle you see the pink/nude color and from another angle you see the frostiness. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it yet. My lips are very full and although shimmer lipsticks and glosses are my passion, super frosty lippies don't look that great on me.

  3. I think I really like the frost on me. At first I thought it was too light, but then when I wore it with more dramatic eyes, I really like how it looked.

My friend Adrienne said that she thought it was the prettiest lippy she's seen on me in a while, because it draws all the attention to my eyes.

  5. ps You can use that color up the middle of your lips as a highlighter if you don't want to use it on your whole lip. I'd keep it.

  6. Yes, I considered that but if you remember reading in my post, I already have several light colors to use as lipstick toppers. No reason to add another to the list.
