Victoria's Revenge "Skeleton Key"

For this Victoria's Revenge (Aromaleigh's newest limited edition collection) look, I selected Skeleton Key. Skeleton Key is a color that photos and swatches DO NOT DO JUSTICE. IT MUST BE SEEN IN PERSON TO BE APPRECIATED. The multi-colored sparkles are amazing...glitter fall-out never looked so good. I felt like a beautiful sparkly princess after I applied Skeleton Key. Although I used a base, I decided that foiling this color gave me the best color payoff. I simply added water to my brush before dipping it into the color. I used the back of my hand as my mixing palette and then applied it to my lid. Voila! Lots of sparkly silver goodness.

Victoria's Revenge "Oleander Vapor"

Today, I did yet another look using Victoria's Revenge, Aromaleigh's latest limited edition eyeshadow collection. Oleander Vapor was actually the first color I tried from this collection but I didn't have time to take photos that day.

I wore an ethnic print skirt today, which contains brown, maroon, pink, orange, gold, green, and ivory. Oleander Vapor really brought out the pink/maroon colors in the skirt.

And here's a barrage of full face photos of me feeling extra cute in Oleander Vapor.

Victoria's Revenge "Perpetual Motion"

Hi Nesters! Here is my second look using Aromaleigh's limited edition collection Victoria's Revenge.

I went over to a friend's house last night for a "mom's night in" (food, drinks, chatting)and I wanted to do something a little more exciting than my usual neutrals so I reached for Perpetual Motion. I'm sure this color would look lovely on many different women, but let me just say that it really makes blue eyes POP! Just take the effect you see here in these photos and multiply that times 10! I would have taken full face photos had my hair not been pulled back into a ponytail. It was a very chic ponytail mind you, but I just don't photograph well in a ponytail. Anyway...I even used eyeliner for the first time in a very long while. My Rx eye drops are working great so my allergies don't really bother me anymore. All in all, I felt pretty smokin' hot in this look (if I say so myself) ;)

Thank you Miss K for Victoria's Revenge. I'm having lots of fun with it.

Victoria's Revenge "Cyanide Sorrow"

Hi Nesters!

Here is my first (but definitely not my last) look using "Victoria's Revenge," Aromaleigh's much anticipated limited edition collection. What you can look forward to seeing from me in the future is the "every woman's" point of view on this collection. But who knows, I may throw in one unexpected dramatic look just for fun too!

Aromaleigh Turquoise FOTD

This year, I've been paying a little bit more attention to the Pantone color forecast. Today, I decided to break a few rules (who made these rules anyway?) and match my eyeshadow to my blouse. I pulled out my binder of eyeshadow samples and Aromaleigh's Celeste pure eyes lustre jumped out at me (turquoise is one of the colors in Pantone's spring forecast-see below).

I even got a few compliments today (one was from a girl in Cameron's kindergarten class, but that still counts in my book).

Here's what I used to complete this look:
  • Celeste (Aromaleigh) - shimmering pearl jade green...on my lid
  • Severina (Aromaleigh) - gorgeous verdant green with an almost metallic pearl glimmer...on outer corner
  • Perceived Reality (The She Space) - graham cracker taupe...in the crease
  • Maiden (Aromaleigh) - a very muted mauve/lilac with flecks of golden glimmer...to highlight and blend
  • Lt. Grey eyeliner pencil (?) - waterline (I never do this but I just started using Rx eye drops so it didn't bother me today)
  • 2w/2yl glissade mineral foundation (Aromaleigh)
  • Clear Ultra Resolution Finishing Powder (Aromaleigh)
